Capacity Assessment of Existing RC Columns

چکیده
Existing reinforced concrete (RC) members, designed in accordance with obsolete codes, are often characterized by high stirrup spacing. The collapse mechanisms generated spacing typically related to the buckling of longitudinal reinforcement and can be accentuated when corrosion takes place. In this paper, new refined material constitutive laws for steel, including inelastic reinforcement, implemented a fixed crack model suitable RC elements subjected cyclic loadings called PARC_CL 2.1 model. effectiveness proposed is validated through comparison available experimental data analytical predictions. Finally, used calibrate correction coefficients applied current codes formulation ultimate rotational capacity prediction non-conforming phenomena reinforcing bars.

Seismic Vulnerability Assessment of Existing Rc Buildings in Gis Environment
With rapid population growth over the past 30 years and no significance seismic activity during this period, the unchecked development of the built environment in Bangladesh has been resulted in little resilience to earthquake. Identifying buildings due to this unchecked development that has high vulnerability is of critical importance both for reliable loss estimation as a result of an expecte...
متن کاملRetrofitting of Existing Rc Square Bridge Columns Using Basalt Frp Rebars
Fiber-reinforced polymers (FRPs) have been widely utilized to improve the seismic performance of deficient reinforced concrete (RC) columns. In recent years, one of the emerging types of FRPs used is basalt fibers. In this study, the performance of existing columns was experimentally examined before and after applying near-surface mounted (NSM) basalt FRP (BFRP) rebars as a retrofitting techniq...
متن کاملAssessment of an RC existing hospital building with special moment frame using fragility curve
In this study, an existing hospital structure has been evaluated with incremental dynamic analysis (IDA). This building is accommodated in Karaj with soil type II. At first, two 2-D frames along X, Y direction are selected. Then, five performance levels are determined according to “Rehabilitation Code for Existing Buildings (Publication No. 360) including Immediate Operational (IO), Limited Dam...
